Harvard & Excelsior joint venture

"LASPAU: Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas", "a nonprofit organization affiliated with Harvard University", in 2001 announced "the LASPAU–Excelsior College Program", in which "LASPAU will use its experience in distance learning and knowledge of Latin American and Caribbean higher education in order to make Excelsior College programs in business and computer information systems more accessible to individuals in the region. [...] LASPAU’s role will involve outreach to Latin American and Caribbean individuals and institutions, evaluation of student credentials, student advising, and other administrative and financial services."

The Web page is still there, but the program is no more. In response to an e-mail query, someone at LASPAU told me, "LASPAU no longer works to facilitate the Excelsior degree programs in Latin America."
