I am looking for an Online Masters in Accounting program. (Non-MBA) I am not looking for an MBA in Accounting but a Masters in Accounting. (MSA) So far I know of only two schools that offer this online...Strayer University and Florida Atlantic University. Does anyone know of any others? I am looking for a USA based program.

Nova Southeastern's Business school (www.sbe.nova.edu) has just such a program.

There are quite a few of these programs. One that comes immediately to mind is the Distance MAc at Auburn.

Not too many choices, When I started looking for a master in accounting online such as your self, choices were limited, is this will be for certification purposes? If so any master that includes the accounting mayor should qualified as long is RA. Or you are looking just the tittle of the degree?

    Good luck!

    Thanks for the responses.

Vini-Actually this information is for a co-worker who is the Comptroller at the Comm. College that I work for. I think she is more interested in the title because I told her there were plenty of MBA-Accounting degrees out there that could be completed on-line.

Andy-Thanks for pointing me to NSU. I am actually going to apply to their Ed.D. program. I was accepted to Walden but after looking over NSU's information, I think I am going to give them a shot. I would love to get some insights and guidance from you regarding them. Can I contact you via email? Thanks for your help!!

There is a new (I think) Master of Accountancy in governmental accounting degree offered online from Rutgers University (aacsb) that appears ideal considering your friend's situation.Link

UMass-Amherst also offers an MS Accounting degree with an interesting setup. It is a 15 month program with the student taking 12 credits on campus during the summer semester(s), and 3 credits off campus during the spring and fall semesters.

There are also MS degrees in Accounting and Financial Management or Accounting and Information Technology at U Maryland University College.
An MS degree in Accounting and Financial Management at Keller Graduate School of Management.
