Anyone know of a reputable DL MPA program that requires no GRE or any other entrance exam? I did a search on this topic and so far I’ve only come up with the University of Colorado and Fort Hays State University. I’ve been searching for a few weeks with no luck. I’m looking for a well-known program. Thanks!
I don't know what your background is, however, there is a distance learning Masters in Public Policy and Administration at the Manly Campus of Charles Sturt University. I note that you have an associate degree in Criminal Justice. The background to the Manly Campus is that it is aligned with the Australian Graduate School of Police Management. The course is delivered by course work with assignments there no traditional examinations. Try the address below. http://www.csu.edu.au/courses/pg/arts/mppad/ Charles Sturt University is New South Wales Govt. Institution which also runs the New South Wales Police Academy at Goulburn. There are no municipal or county police in Australia and all police organisations are run by state or federal governments. The New South Wales Police Service has in excess of 16.000 officers so you have some idea of the size of the campus commitment etc. If an Australian University will do then you should find this one cheap by US standards and no problems with accreditation. The above course is especially relevant if you are employed or interested in the criminal justice area. I hope this is useful for you.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha offers a distance MPA with no GRE and charges in-state fees for all students.
Offhand, I can think of one example, California State University - Dominguez Hills, which I think requires no entrance exams at all. As far as reputable, my opinion is that it doesn't get much more reputable than an RA Cal State campus. Bruce
The link is active --> International College in Fort Myers, Florida, offers a DL MPA without a GRE requirement.
And if you did come back to me to point our your misunderstanding of your Associate degree, I would think that you are strange. And since you're not strange, "just let it go." And count your blessings because this new job could be a stepping stone for you.
