Does ANYONE know of a school that offers an undergrad degree in public relations?

Here's my situation: I have 8 classes remaining in order to graduate from my current university. 4 of those are upper level PR classes. Of those 4, 2 classes are prerequisites for the other 2. None of these 4 classes are offered at night. The university's attitude is basically "Never have been, never will be, and how DARE you ask!!"

Sooo, I'm looking for places that I can take these classes online. I've not been very successful in finding online PR degree programs that are accredited. I thought Canyon College was the answer to my prayers until I learned that my university won't accept credits from the school.

Any advice, suggestions, etc.? I would be greatly appreciative!!

    Thanks!
    Tammy

Good Morning, Would your current school accept portfolio credit for the needed classes? Check that option at TESC and see if that would fit in with your goal.

    Hi friends.

I have a similar question: I also search (for a very close friend) for a Bachelor´s in Public Relations - does such a (special) thing exist? (I couldn´t find one so far).

    Thanx and Greets,

    Trigger

The only US school that offers a DL BA in PR is Capital University. Two others, U of Memphis and U of Northern Iowa offers Masters degrees (I know that's not what you're looking for but I thought I'd throw it in). If you're willing to go outside the US there are several Australian universities that offer Bachelors degrees in Public Relations. They are Curtin U, Deakin U, and U of Southern Queensland. I regret that I know nothing about any of these programs and their course offerings and so I can't speak to your specific dilemma. In my own mind I've typically thought about PR as a type of Business, Advertising, Communications hybrid. Perhaps you could find the courses you need in one of those sorts of degree programs. Good luck,
    Jack

    Hello together,

    hello Jack.

Thank you (all) very much for your help.

Of course, my friend is willing to go out of the states, it just has to be a GAAP school.

I´ll have a look for her at the Aussie unis,
the strange thing is: I´ve just looked at USQ, but found only a major in PR, but not a whole Bachelor´s degree (having the PR also in its name...). But I´ll look again, maybe I´ve overseen something...

    Again,
    thx and best regards,
    Trigger

Any other ideas from other board members?
