I have to take the alternative tasp writing essay. I also have to take the elementary algebra portion of the test. I think i will skip the math and enroll in remedial math courses as i can do that online, however the essay is vital to my survival and being able to attend online distance education classes.

I have to make a 6 out of a 8 in the essay and i'm not sure if thats hard to do or not. i have two offical TASP books that teach about writing essays and they aren't always easy to understand. I am wondering how hard they grade because if i dont pass this essay then i wont qualify for freshman english and if i dont qualify for that no distance education for me.

if anyone has any assett essay writing helpful urls please post them. would also appreciate feedback on my questions.

    thanks

    Courses with no final

Hi, Sometime ago there was a list posted for courses with no final. Starting dl can be pretty overwhelming. This might be an answer. Hille

no i'm afraid this is not a course but a prerequisite placement to place people in their appropriate classes. in addition to this i have to take the texas TASP test.

    thank you

I took the TASP years ago when it was first created and mandated by the Texas legislature. It was almost a joke, really.

Just look up the suggested study guide for the CLEP English Composition exam with Essay. That should be way more than you need to prepare.

    Larry Niven

I wonder if anyone in the Texas Legislature was aware of the use of the word "tasp" by Larry Niven in his novel Ringworld? It was a device that you could point at people (or aliens) to directly stimulate the pleasure centers of their brains.
