Hello, I have e-mailed Mark and asked him to link the articles about this. NJIT is not going to have a campus is Mount Laurel much longer. This is a real blow to students who were starting the program in the fall and will have to transfer to Newark at the end of 2004 if the situation stays the same. Although this is not dl comment it is surprising that the program is not viable. Hille
After splitting the cost of the recent constuction with Burlington County College, I'm surprised that they're going to just flee North. Given the tuition for even an in-state NJIT student, it wouldn't take many registrants to make the program "viable."
This is disappointing. I would have thought that central and south jersey could have supported this program. Maybe even some folk from Bucks who don't want to commute to, say, Temple or Drexel. ONce upon a time I lived in Hopewell Twp and I hated going anywhere near Newark.
Sad Recollection When I was going for My AA at Burlington College (In Wrightstown, NJ) I took about 10 classes at the NJIT Campus. They have a lot of new buildings and some state-of the art technology! It is ashamed that there are not enough $$'s to keep it going! I think the students in NJ, PA, & DE are truly the ones that will miss it!! Mike AA Burlington College, NJ BA TESC MSAS SMSU JD Chapman (On hold for a bitO

Thanks Mark. Hello all, I am trying to figure out how this could happen in NJ. I live near this campus and it seems to have a large student body and filll a huge need. The area is easy to reach from the tri-state area and a safe campus. Thanks for linking it Mark. Hille
It's too bad that NJIT is having a hard go of it--they are astute enough to hire a D.A.-degreed prof.
Nursing program to close with NJIT Hi, Since the announcement of the closing of NJIT in Mount Laurel the nursing program that shares facilities with NJIT -University of Medicine and Dentistry will also be coming to an end. This is a very sad situation for Burlington County residents. Hille
