    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a push in the right direction. I just transfered my existing credits to Charter Oak but have not yet matriculated. I need to start off and get 6 credits of english in the meantime, and would like to attempt to get them through testing such as CLEP. Though since I haven't taken any tests before, where would be a good place to start to learn about the tests - what good sites/books to review on testing in general, what type of tests I should take (CLEP or others?), where to take the tests, and what books might be good to prepare me for the english-related exams? Also, good place to find practice questions?

Any info would be a huge help....thanks!

I used this book to take the English CLEP twice (once with essay and once without) - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/156030183X/qid=1050019967/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-8619731-1998357?v=glance&s=books
I found all the Comex books to be a great help. Also the REA books worked very well, for example - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0878918965/qid=1050020175/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/104-8619731-1998357

Here is a place to start for info on the CLEPS-

Usually colleges offer the CLEP exams.
    Good Luck

What's the difference between the CLEP Freshman English Composition and the CLEP English Composition?

Which test satisfies the 6 credits?
