School In questions is: Professional Career Development Institute I am looking at this school for the home study program that they offer. I looked the school up on the better business bureau site and didnt really find anything too disconcerting. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. I am a mother of two and work full time as a legal assistant/paralegal, so the home study program would be ideal for me.
I looked briefly at their front page and I have to say that I think you could do better. If you're willing to say something more about your specific interests/goals then I'm betting that you'll at least get some alternate choices and then you can do the old "compare and contract" routine. In any case, good luck, Jack
What program are you interested in? I would assume it is the legal assistant/paralegal but I could be wrong.
If it is the paralegel, checkout some of these schools- http://www.worldwidelearn.com/law-paralegal-degrees.htm I would start with the regionally accredited schools such as California State University, Colorado State University, Fisher College, Peirce College, or Tompkins Cortland Community College. I am not saying that they are the only regionally accredited schools on that list, they are just a place to start.
Your information says you are in Mesa, AZ, if so you have consideralble options available locally at two of the best programs around (IMHO): See: Arizona State Extended Univeristy and Rio Salado College. They offor everything that Professional Career Development Institute offers, plus more. Also see: Maricopa Community colleges (Rio Salado's parent).
