    Hi,

a friend of mine is interested in doing an MBA degree with a specialization in Real Estate, by DL. I searched this site, but could not find anything. Does anybody know of such a program? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    :)

I am not sure about this, but check out the college of estate management in the UK.

They offer in associaton with Reading various DL programs. As far as I can remember there was an MBA, but this was in construction and Real estate management. They offered an MS in Real Estate as well

    Their website:

    Hope this will help you

In my quick search, I could only find two. I did not check their accreditation status, costs, or anything like that. But from what I found their programs are through distance learning.

The University of Reading, UK-MS in Real Estate and Construction Management

The University of Denver, USA-MBA in Real Estate and Construction.

Is the University of Denver (Daniels) D/L program an MBA with a RE specialization? From what I was able to glean, the program offered online is an Executive Master of RE (maybe not much of a distinction, though).

Regardless, it doesn't appear as if the program is 100% online; there are residency requirements. Further, doesn't $700/credit hour seem somewhat pricey considering each course is 4 credit hours ($2800 per course??)????

With the slim pickings in MBA programs in Real Estate, there is another way to achieve your goal. 1) Take a general MBA; and, 2) earn a professional certification to compliment the MBA. In real estate, It could be the BCCR, CPPM, CCIM, CFM, etc., depending on your area of interest. A graduate degree plus a professional designation can be a potent combination.
