Anyone know of a good DL MBA or MS Accounting program? Something that will qualify for CPA exam.

I have BS in Ed. but I want to change directions.

    Thanks for any feedback.

    Master in Accounting

    Hi gkillion,

Golden Gate University offers a pretty good on-line master in accountancy program. However, it's not AACSB accredited.

You might want to check out www.sbe.nova.edu. Nova does have a masters degree in accounting that is offered 100% on-line. They do have pre-req courses for non-accounting majors to bring them up to speed. According to Nova, their program is structured to meet the 150 credit hour requirement in most states.

Auburn University has a AACSB Master of Accountancy program that is 99% DL. It requires a short four and 1/2 day residency requirement.

Any opinions on Keller Grad School?

I'd do a search in the archives here for feedback from others. My knowledge of them is that they are RA - but a for-profit operation. Like their other for-profit siblings they tend to be expensive and of less than stellar academic standing. In particular they charge $1,530 per course and their MBA requires 16 courses ($24k total). As a for profit they do advertise a lot and make their programs very accessible and straightforward to complete. However, their faculty is largely part-time and they only have NCA accreditation - no AACSB or ACBSP.

You can certainly find less expensive alternatives. You can also find DL programs that are AACSB or ACBSP accredited. I'd keep looking.

    Regards - Andy

Keller Graduate school has a very solid reputation and have published many management books, but they are unrealistically pricey and require GRE, and GMAT scores for admission.

Andy loves to advertise Nova's program, and their admission policies are much easier than Kellers. Nova does NOT require GMAT or GRE unless your GPA is below 2.5.
In fact, Nova does not even require that your undergrad degree be accredited. http://www.huizenga.nova.edu/admission/masters.cfm

Still, there are better choices out there for your money.
Try Amberton. They are the cheapest RA MBA fully online.

AACSB online degrees are going to be harder to get into, and they are usually more expensive than RA only degrees.

    Hope this helps,
