Would a BS in Law from Northwestern California University hurt the credibility of an individual with an RA BS and MS? Since I work in the medical industry, I feel a firm understanding of the law could always be an asset. I don’t think I want to spend the money on a JD, especially from an ABA school, but I would like a better understanding of the law.

Are there any Certificate programs in law from DETC or RA schools? Would a BSL from Northwestern California University be a good way to go?

Isn't the NWcal Law BSL half way to their Bar qualifying JD?

Yes, but I don't live in California and I am not thinking of a career change. I just want a deeper understanding of the law. IF I decide to go for the JD, it would be something I would think about after I complete the BSL.

My main concern is completing a BSl and it not being accepted or accepted well by the corporate world.

Way back when the world was new and all, my undergrad school offered a BSL. They quit just before I got there; don't know why. I don't know of ANY American RA or DETC schools that still offer the BSL. I don't know. Seems to me no one would understand this credential.

They DO understand the JD and, even better, they REALLY understand membership in a state Bar.

Would a JD from Oak Brook, Concord, or NWCal raise more questions than anything else? Questions such as: Why can't you sit for the Bar in Florida or Why don't you pratice law if you are a lawyer?

If I complete a non-ABA JD just for a better understanding of the law, wouldn't that seem extreme to an employer?
