I just wanted to touch base with others...and let everyone know how supportive the Capella factulty have been... and document the academic rigor of the Capella University psychology program. I am currently in my second dissertation course. They are truely superstars...

if anyone has any specific questions...

This is wonderful news. I had a phone interview with Capella's chancellor a few years ago and it was really good. I got the feeling they had good people who cared about the academic process.

Good luck with your dissertation and degree.

    Amen!

I want to agree with the original poster.

I just finished my first two doctoral courses and currently am in the wrap-up of a week long colloquia in Orlando, FL. I must say that the faculty are extremely interested in the success of the student. I am in the Family Psychology program but I have interviewed with the Executive Director of the School of Psychology, the Chair of the I/O department, and spoken to one of the main Health Psychology professors. All exhibit a desire to make the student successful. I am impressed by the way the program has been designed to insure you don't fall between the cracks. I love it... not to mention I got 50 quarter credit hours to transfer from my Masters degree.

    Check it out.

I think Capella's PhD completion rate would equal or exceed any other school. The program is very intense and all the mentors are well known in their field. I enjoyed the time I spent there. Guess you get what you pay for!

This is good to hear. I'm currently waiting to hear if I am accepted in to their MS in School Psychology program.
