    Hi again, here's the situation......
Queen Margaret has yet to send anything or respond to my questions after I sent my matriculation form. They have acknowledged receiving it, however. As a result, I am now three months behind my schedule and am getting very frustrated, to say the least.
I am going to give them until next week to tell me something good and if it doesn't happen, I would like some alternatives.

My question is this, when I was searching, Oxford Brookes sounded great, but then they discontinued their MBA in Hospitality program because they had gained accreditation with AMBA and needed to reassess the dl programs.
Does anyone know if they have completed this? If so, they may be my best option.

    Thanks again, John

    DL and AMBA

AMBA impacts on MBA programmes in the Uk in a very unfair way, in my view. There are many excellent MBA programmes in the Uk that remain unaccredited by AMBA only because they (the institutions) cannot readily provide extensively funded libraries, computer facilities and the like. AMBA is so much like the US accrediting bodies - facilities rather than outcomes oriented. It is also a 'club' run bym the 'big boys' - the likes of Warwick, etc. Fewer than one third of all business schools are AMBA (Association of MBAs) accredited and before long (just like the USA) I think we'll see an alternative accrediting body being established. AMBA's regulations do not lend themselves to fully blown DL programmes when it comes to the assessment of institutions. I think Oxford Brookes University has established itself and its programmes and they are good. Whether they'll now become less flexible and innovatory now they've got AMBA accreditation remains to be seen - my guess is that they'll be forced to become less flexible!
