I purchased the book Lawrie recommended. Any other suggestions on other items to study? I do not really have a background in this area. Thanks in Advance. Tim
Purchase a financial calculator. My favorite is the Texas Instruments BA II Plus, which runs about $30. Get to know the time value of money keys (present value, future value, etc.). Even if you can't use it on the test, you can use it to check your answers as you study.
There are some CD Rom home study programs on Finance to can obtain from Amazon or the American Association of Certified Public Accountants (I can't remember their URL). This should give you some solid information on Finance, Financial Accounting and Financial Management.
Try Financial Management by Brigham. Probably more than you need to know and more than you wanted to spend, however.
I teach Managerial Finance and use this book. It is a little obtuse, but Homer's right, it's thorough.
Finance by Brigham Who's the publisher? I plan on doing distance courses using commonly available texts to give structure to the lessons. I had this book and the study guide years ago.
