Does anyone have any leads as to where you can find information on professional certifications for those working in Higher Education? I can find tons of certifications for those working in the IT field. One certification that I came accross was the GCDF or Global Career Development Facilitator. Anyways, I am looking for more types of certifications like that. Is there a website or magazine that list potential certications for those working in higer education or even general education certifications. (bsides teacher certification) Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if these certifications are from organizations or schools outside of NC, can the requirements be completed through DL?

A man who specializes in this sort of information is Lal Balkaran. He has published a series of books and reports covering business and accounting and had plans to cover more areas; don't know if he has yet. He is findable at www.lbapublications.com.

Go to www.careertools.org/certification and click on education and training in the industry box. It'll take you to more non-IT certifications in that sector than you would have believed existed.

You're right, I wouldn't have believed that so many existed.

There are indeed some amazing certifications here -- Certified Odor Control Technician, anyone? Master Pet Sitting Professional? (To get the latter, you probably have to prove your ability to handle Rotweilers.)
