Greetings. Would anyone have a list of RA colleges offering End-of-Course/"College Credit by Examination" exams? The colleges I currently know of (thanks!) are as follows: From The Book: -------------- Ohio University: http://www.ohiou.edu/independent/ccewords.htm University of North Carolina: http://www.fridaycenter.unc.edu/iscatalog/creditby.html Mountain State University: http://www.cwv.edu/future_students/adult_learners/credit.aspx Thanks in advance! Cordially, Richard Kanarek
Additional option Good Morning, Camden County College of NJ offers this option. They have a distance learning program in place. I haven't found out yet if exams can be taken with an approved proctor or on campus only. Hille
Hille: Thanks for the reply! Camden County College's web site (http://www.camdencc.edu/distance_learning.htm) makes no mention of a credit by exam program. If, however, you are sure they have such a program, I'm willing to believe you! <g> If you/anyone knows of any other, less bashful, colleges with CCE programs, please mention them! Cordially, Richard Kanarek
CCC Good Morning, I will get another copy of the catalog and e-mail you . What caught my eye about this was the articulating agreement with TESC. I saw the exam option as a fluke. The Lawrie Miller program would work beautifully for a NJ resident if TESC was the degree destination. Hille
Does Excelsior accept these? Hi, does Excelsior college accept these exams? I am doing some Cleps and will probably take some Dantes, but was wondering specifically if they accept all the Ohio University Credit by examination tests.
Excelsior and Ohio University exams Excelsior mentions some of the Ohio University exams on its Web pages: http://www1.excelsior.edu/itweb/credexam.htm http://www1.excelsior.edu/itweb/faq.htm#5 I'd be surprised if they didn't accept all of them. Also, "Ohio University Portfolio Assessment" was the 3rd of 4 options that Excelsior used to list at http://www.excelsior.edu/exams/xms_opts.htm. (They changed the Web page when I made a fuss because the first two options weren't available.)
Hi RKanarek Have you taken any courses from Mountain State University? I am trying to find out more about them.
