    Hello board,

I am locating programs that have no limit on clep/dantes/ece/etc. testing credits except for the required residency, ~30 s/h. Apart from the big 3, so far I have located Indiana U. SCS BGS, Bellevue U., and Empire State College. At least I am fairly certain these schools/programs meet the criteria. Also, Wyoming U. states that they have no set limit on clep credit, so they may be an option, although it seems they are weak in dl.

Anybody know of any other schools that meet this criteria?

    Thanks,
    Tony

Good Morning, I think Regents BA WV and Mountain State U. WV deserve some investigation. The Regents degree states that 2 years of instate credits make this available. Why not credits through testing enrolled at the cheapest CC? I think it could be done. Hille

    Thank you Hille,
I have been very busy but will follow up on your ideas.

I believe that Liberty is another school to add to this list. Does anyone know of other schools to add?

    Thanks,
    Tony

Troy State University requires 30 credit residency, and a certain number of senior university credits. They don't accept all clep/dante credits but do consider them senior university credits. It would be pretty easy to test out of most or all of the first 3 years.

    Thanks Dave,
I had looked at Troy State but there was something about the setup that bothered me. I'll have to check it again. Here are some more schools that allow high percentages of clep/dantes/alternative credit.

    Northeastern University
    Montana State - Billings
    Oakland City University
    Ottawa University - Milwaukee
    St Joseph's College of Maine
    Skidmore College UWW
    Upper Iowa University

...and here is a ponsi website which gives outlines to colleges that accept liberal amounts of non-tradtional credit (just in case anyone wants/needs a pretty good reference).

Old Domion University (through the Navy College Program) will waiver the CLEP credit limit (I think it's 30 credits) for NCP degree programs (eg. BSET w/ minor in engineering management).

...I guess ALL the Navy College Programs from any school will have unlimited CLEP/DSST's and (it may depend on the school) I don't think you have to be a sailor to benifit from the programs (I am a Marine and was told I could complete the BSET at ODU).

    Thanks Bill,

I doubt this would work for me as I'm not in the military and I'm pretty sure one has to be serving in some branch. If I'm wrong, I would very much like to be corrected.

    Thanks again,
    Tony

    Tony,

To be honest, I am not sure whether or not it is required to be in the military to be eligible for the CLEP/DSST limit waiver. I read on one of the degree roadmaps ODU has listed for the BSGET program that students in the BSET (not Navy College) program are an exception to the 60 credit maximum in "experiential" learning. With that said, I could be wrong. Dr. Robert Curry is the man to ask if you are interested. The Navy College BSET they have on ODU is based off of the BSET in General Engineering Technology that has no affiliations with the military, so I am sure they have non-military students apply.

Their catalog (page 35) basically states that although there is a 60 credit cap on credit like this, they do make exceptions. So, bringing in alot of CLEP/DANTES might not be impossible in any of their programs.

    Best Regards,
    Bill

    Tony & Bill,

I asked Dr. Curry if one needed to be current or former military to participate in the Navy College BSET program. His reply to me was, if it is the best program for the student it would be okay.

Dr. Curry has been very helpful and responsive to all of my questions.
