Does anyone know which R.A. schools offer d.l. courses at the lowest cost per unit?

Brigham Young University offers courses at about $100 per semester hour.

That's the cheapest I've found. I just thought it would be valuable to the many readers of this forum who need a few courses to complete a BA.

If you have a community college in your area, that's probably the cheapest option. Even one in the same state is likely to be a good deal.

Tution at Austin (TX) Community College:

    In-district: $32 per credit hour
    Out-of-district, In-state: $81
    Out-of-state: $171

And through the "Virtual College of Texas," students can take any D.L. course offered at any community college throughout Texas and still pay the In-district rate. I have no idea whether other states have similar arrangements.

The FEMA courses are another inexepnsive (and extremely easy) option. $60 per credit hour through Frederick Community College. There are about 30 available:

    I enthusiastically agree.

City College of San Francisco currently charges Californians (located anywhere in the state) $11/unit for its on-line courses. Out of state students pay an additional $130/unit, for a total of $141.

I think that most other California community colleges charge something similar. Unfortunately this bargain price will probably rise soon because of California's appalling budget deficit, but I expect that it will still be a great deal.

I just did a Google search for "community college distance learning courses" which produced 491,000 hits. Based on the first 20, there are many things possible in this direction. You're on your own for the remaining 490,980 -- but if you find some good cheap ones, do report it back here.

I believe California has decided to raise its community college tuition from $11 to $24 per unit, still an incredible bargain.

LSU and Southwest Texas State are just above $200 for 3 cr.
    Bargains.

Just thought I would add this in:

Tennessee Regents Online Degree Program is 68/cr hour (standard credit hour charge at 2-year state run colleges) but the colleges offering this tack on a $27 fee per credit hour if attending DL instead. So its $95/credit hour.

That is for in-state residents. Out of state residents pay a great deal more.

Good Morning, I know these courses have been discussed endlessly before. There is an easier site and additional courses have been added.. TESC accepts thems as is which makes them a great value. I believe SUNY has the same policy but have been unable to find this in print. Have a great weekend. Hille

Try the Association of Business Executives. 772 British Pounds for 18 courses than earn between 66 to 75 per cent of a Bachelor degree or direct entry to MBA.

I doubt that any US university would grant this amount of credit towards a Bachelor degree. Could you please expand on the MBA possibilities.
    Thanks

Check direct with ABE (www.abeuk.com). There are several private colleges in London using this scheme.

ALL community colleges in California charge the SAME tuition rate, as this is set by the state, currently $11 per semester credit hour (for CA residents; more for non-residents).

    :)
