I wanted to give public praise to Touro. Completing my first term in the Ph.D. program, the university and its Instructors have been extremely understanding. I had some extreme work responsibility overload this term and they assisted me with flexibility and support. I definitely give them the “thumbs up” with quality and assistance.

I agree, I have received excellent assistance at TUI and all the problems that I have were dealt with professionally.

I am also quite happy with the quality of the coursework and the format they provide. TUI might not at the same caliber as the Unversity of Glasgow or similar but it isn't bad either.

On second thought, I'm begining to think this forum is a secret front for Touro. Maybe one of you DBA students can follow the money.

Or even better: go away and sponsor a different site. Heh.

    Ph.d. not DBA

Just to follow up, I am studying for a Ph.D. not a DBA, if you read the first post. I apologize if there is any animosity toward TUI and the individuals posting about the school. I think for new learners, it could be informative if a DL school is supportive or flexible to students concerning the balance of life issues and studies.

I think that it's valuable for students to relate their experiences with various schools. That's the kind of information that we can't get for ourselves simply from reading webpages, and it can make the difference between a good DL experience and a disaster.

Your report is good news to my ears. I was accepted into Touro's PhD program (Health Sciences) and plan on starting in September. I was a bit hesitant because Sep - Dec is the busiest time of the year for me. Thanks for the information. It is good to know that there is a school out there that cares about students.:D

    Not good enough, plumbdog.

You still don't have the required sycophantic toadiness quite right. Keep trying.

  11. Why, when I read this thread, do I have an image in my mind of Joan Rivers, sticking a finger into her mouth and gagging?

Man, the hype in this thread is worse than any shilling Rich Douglas ever did for MIGS.

Perhaps I should include Touro next time I teach a course . . . on the cults. :D

I fail to see why students expressing either satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their choice of school is out of place on Degreeinfo. In fact, I would suggest that these consumer reports are some of the most valuable information that is posted here.

That's the kind of information that we can't get for ourselves simply from reading webpages, and it can make the difference between a good DL experience and a disaster.

Frankly, I find this attempt to dictate which schools we are allowed to speak positively about to be rather threatening.

If there is a case against Touro that anyone believes needs to be made, by all means make it. But try to lose the ridicule and argue your case as coherently and as persuasively as you can.

  13. Bill, you take me far too seriously - certainly, more seriously than I take myself.

I have nothing against Touro. I merely observe that this thread is like an evangelistic meeting. And a halfway funny one at that.

    Birdpecker,

I think what you were striving for was: "ironic-sycophantism."
But, I was really shooting more for Sybaritical-wise-assness.

ps. I don't hate Touro either.
