So now that NorthCentral University has achieved its RA accreditation, how does everyone feel about its comparison to currently RA University like Touro and Argosy? Will NCU achieve better? I am not familiar with its curriculum and program but how is the comparison? Wanted to get others thoughts on this achievement of NCU.

All three of these schools are kind of low-end. But North Central is clearly the weakest of the three, in my opinion.

It's the newest, for one thing. Reputation and accomplishments take time to generate.

Argosy has merged with the multi-campus American School of Professional Psychology, an APA-accredited residential psych school that is a leading source of clinical psychologists nationwide.

Touro is a very ambitious new school that is growing at a rapid pace. They have an ABA-accredited law school in New York City, their school of Jewish studies in both NYC and in Jerusalem, their TUI DL operation in LA and have recently moved their Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM) into an attractive campus-like setting on the former Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo. (They say that they plan to expand this into a full-service university campus.)

North Central has...what? A connection to SCUPS? While I applaud their achievement in becoming accredited, they still have some work to do.

But even Argosy and Touro are little more than adaquate at this point. They need to continue raising their own profiles. But they have certainly moved further in that direction than NCU.

Perhaps because they have been in existence longer than NCU. Lets give the new kid on the block time to distinguish him/herself.

NCU has achieved legitimacy now that it is RA. I think it reasonable we allow them time to produce graduates. It will be the quality of their graduates that will help us discern their credibility.

Like most "new players" you can usually find them sitting on the bench.

But given time many become valuable players.

I think the schools mentioned (Touro & Argosy) will make solid impression for years to come. They are progressive in their approach; particularly Touro who successfully established the first 100% PhD program.

It all comes to having the appropriate “Exposure,” which will allow D.L education to be more acceptable in all spectrums.

Absolutely! In many cases it doesn't even take that long (at least in sports) How long has U of Phoenix been around? Not that long, right? Now I know that some will say that it's not such a good school but it seems that their name comes up a lot and they've got plenty of students (I guess, to be honest, I don't really pay close attention). Northcentral is clearly doing something right and I think it would be great to have another quality DL school out there. I'm just trying to say that it may take some time for the word to get out, etc. you know, sitting on the bench.
