    Hi:

I hold an M.Eng. from a Canadian university and am looking for a PhD/EngD/DEng in Engineering or Manufacturing Management from an American, Canadian or British University.

Something work-based with low (or no) residency would fit the bill.

    Any suggestions?

P.S. It would have to be from an established B&M university.

If you are a canadian resident making canadian bucks, you will find almost impossible to pay american fees even at a state university.

Some engineers that I know try to work out something with their supervisors and enroll as a part time student with few visits a year to the campus. Sherbrooke University (If you speak french) has a research based (no course work) PhD that can be done in combination with industry. Concordia University also accepts part time students and you can negotiate few visits a year with your supervisor. The Concordia PhD requires some course work that can be done at a local accredited canadian university and then transferred to the program. Some students are working in the US and doing their degree at Concordia.

The American route could be very expensive, unless you are in the US making US bucks.

    Concordia Univeristy

Unfortunately my knowledge of French would keep me from attending Sherbrooke, although the program sounds good.

I will look into the Ph.D. at Concordia University, and since I live in Toronto, it may be a definite option since it is only 4 hours drive away.

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.
