The State of Hawaii, by its Office of Consumer Protection, filed suit today against Honolulu University, Culture University and Eden University (all of which are separate Hawaii corporations apparently under the control of the same individual). The suit alleges that the defendants violated various provisions of Hawaii's Unaccredited Degree Granting Institutions Law (Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 446E) and seeks injunctive relief, restitution, civil penalties and other equitable relief.

This Honolulu University is not to be confused with the Honolulu University of the Arts, Sciences & Humanities or the University of Honolulu USA.

Thank you for keeping the forum updated on Hawaii's efforts at eliminating questionable schools, and for your participation in that process.
