My daughter (in HS) is interesting in correspondence photo course. Looking at NY inst of photography (NYIP). Any feedback about such or others appreciated.
I don't know anything about it, but here's a relevant thread from alt.photography that sounds basically positive: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&th=f4fe50f4ce92f7c8&seekm=24612238.0107271048.6a996cef%40posting.google.com&frame=off Here's a longer thread from rec.photo.technique.art, which gives mixed reviews: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&th=60e73c7d3fe2d02d&rnum=2 My take is that they sound perfectly legitimate, but probably cost more than I'd be willing to pay for something that won't yield college credit. A search (for "photography") on Telecampus turns up 109 other potential options. Good luck! Cheers,
You can also go to your local book store and purchase any photo mag. (Photographic, Popular Photograpy..etc) and in their advertisement section (usually in the middle) you will find schools that advertise photography courses, classes and degrees, some of which can be done through DL. Duff
