I spoke to a rep from Central State University and was told that they are seeking DETC Accreditation. Has anyone else heard of this? Any information about this school?

Not really other than that are kind of Frederick Taylor-ish. ie. Legitimate albeit unaccredited CA Approved school. They are really close to me, just a few miles. I can stop by their office this week and check them out if anyone is interested. I noticed they offer Doctorates too???? Isn't this rare of a CA-approved school?

They told me that they are not going to offer the DBA program any longer because they are seeking DETC accreditation

No, it is an extremely common--and lucrative--practice. It is more rare to find a California-Approved DL school that does not offer the doctorate, IMHO.

But it's not just rare, it's impossible for a school offering doctorates to apply for DETC accreditation.
