Did you make this up Barry? I luv the first faculty guy's qualifications: travel in 5 countries, memorized Bible, four phony docs, luv it!

Personally, I would put more credibility in Tripod Bible College or the Angelfire Theological Seminary.

Also Juno College of the Bible & Seminary and, my personal favorites, the Hotmail School of Theology and the Yahoo Divinity School.

I"m sure that if Leland Milton Goldblatt is reading this, we shall see at least one of these spring up soon.

Sign me up for the doctorate in Biblical Studies with the 7000 word dissertation. Give me a minute and I'll staple together the two of the four papers I just did for the ACCS course History of Theology 1.

Careful, guys, you could be opening yourself up for litigation by making such slanderous statements. :D

  6. I ha just been led of the Spirit to volunteer my services as a professor at the Homestead Bible College. Of course, I expect them to give me a Ph.D. in exchange for my services.

Then I can be just as prestigious as R.C. Sproul, with his latest Ph.D. from Whitefield.

The testimonial cracked me up. I began reading and saw Falwell's name and an endorsement of courses from Homestead used in his church. I thought it strange that he would use their study material when he has a perfectly good university of his own. Then I noticed the date...........1965.

Equally amazing is that anyone could put that site up and expect it to be taken seriously...........then again.............sigh.

The Homestead website states that Oxford University has "accepted transcripts from Homestead College of the Bible."

Now which of the following does this imply?

    1) Oxford has accepted Homestead courses for transfer into their degree programs.

    2) Oxford has accepted Homestead degrees for admission into a higher Oxford degree program.

    3) Oxford has accepted Homestead transcripts, reviewed them, but refused to recognize them.

    4) Oxford has had Homestead transcripts to enter the main administration building via the postal service, but upon recognizing what they were placed them in file 13.

I have known the president of The Homestead College of Bible since I was fourteen. I also know his family.

Every word written on The Homestead College of Bible website is true!!

    Their study program is excellent.

I have a Batchelors in Bible Studies from there. While studying I rec. help from David and from his mother. I also have a BS in Ed. and have studied at UofH, Victoria College, Tulane University, and The Glassell School of Art.

Don't make fun of people and places you obviously know little about.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

Shearie apparently decided that it was a good thing to come into this forum, dig up a thread that had been buried for 5 years and use her very first post to pick a fight. That was a bad idea. She now has two weeks to think about "works and plays well with others" before she can post again.

No offense, but I don't trust any academic institution with only the Postal Office Box number, and without even a phone number? At least outsource their call center to India or something. :)

The almost entirely home-grown faculty doesn't exactly inspire confidence, either.

I occasionally have trouble spelling my words perfectly, I love and enjoy the spell check feature- but ENOUGH of the B-a-t-c-h-e-l-o-r-s already!?! This is my pet peeve. Batchelor's is chicken soup. For all the words I can't spell, it isn't my educational credential! (especially if I have two of them!)

Let's see...an 43 year-old endorsement from Jerry Falwell that was given less than a year after the school's establishment and "consultant faculty" (read, "this is not their real job") with graduate degrees nearly exclusively from Homestead. Honestly, I think that all of these illustrious faculty would be perfectly qualified to teach at other prestigious institutions like St. Regis.

I'm surprised that they did not mail transcripts to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc. Once they arrived, they could state that these institutions "accepted" their transcripts as well. If Rev. Freed (the "consultant faculty" for the "Departments of Biblical Philosophy and Christian Education") is, indeed, studying at the REAL Oxford (and not one of the various Oxford mills), then it is certain that his studies at Philadelphia, Wheaton and Dallas had more to do with it than his degrees from Homestead.

That is why she graduated from The Homestead College of Bible. Maybe, you missunderstood what she said....she didn't earn a Bachelor degree from HCB, but instead earning a BATCHELOR. lol

The question that stood out when I looked at their website...
Does Rev. David Arnold Pent (the founder of the institution) have his credentials from the same school?

His skills also include nunchuk skills, bow staff skills, and speaking in tongues.
