Online Art School: Academy of Art College

The Academy of Art College is moving into DL in a big way.

They now offer 12 certificate programs, 4 associates programs, 8 BFA programs and an MFA in Interior Design, all by DL. They say that they have even more programs in the works, so stay tuned.

The BFAs are weighted towards computer arts, with several specializations including 3D Animation, Games and Visual Effects.

The Academy of Art College is a mega-art-school in San Francisco. They have a total enrollment of over 6,200 art students. Their buildings are scattered all over the city, from North Beach through Downtown to South of Market.

But sorry Degreeinfo, they aren't regionally accredited. They are accredited by ACICS, and more importantly by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), the US Dept. of Education recognized specialized accreditor for studio arts. And yep, you had better believe it, they are definitely California approved.

 

I don't want to scare Degreeinfo by posting about a non-RA school, but since nobody replied to my first post about it, I figured that I'd bore you to death instead.
