My dissertation is bigger than yours

    With the recent dialogue regarding the length of dissertations, the following was interesting.

    On the TREN website, five (5) Doctor of Psychology dissertations from Wheaton College, all awarded in 2002, were listed. The dissertations had the following number of pages:

    46
    54
    68
    75
    80

    Interesting, indeed!

    what is the 'TREN' website? What does TREN mean? I am curious to see any examples of dissertations as I will need to write one within the year. thanks

    When will people learn that size doesn't matter - it's the way you use it!!!! I'm not talking personally of course!

    Question: What do you call a person who has had his 46 page quantitative dissertation approved and successfully defended?

    Answer: Doctor

    Question: What do you call a person who has had her 460 page qualitative dissertation approved and successfully defended?

    Answer: Doctor

    A dissertation is complete when it answers the research question and can be successfully defended regardless of pages.
