I forward these news for those interested in the USQ DBA:

    Dear DBA students
I hope that you would be most successful in your studies, in your work and all other projects that are important to you in 2003.

This email is to update you on issues in the DBA Program for 2002/2003:
    * We are monitoring progress of candidates in all postgraduate programs. Some candidates have demonstrated slow progress and failures in courses or other problems. A few DBA candidates chose to exit the DBA program with Postgraduate Certificates in Management or transferred to a Masters' program.  Please note that there are new regulations from 2003 regarding maintaining satisfactory academic standing.

    * Any DBA who started their program from 1999 to 2002 and is currently enrolled will complete their program as it was structured in those years (MBA PLUS 4 specialisation courses, one research methodology course, three CIB courses, 4 Dissertation courses).

    * We are now restructuring the DBA and this process will have to be accredited by USQ's Academic Board. Any DBA who may be selected in May 2003, will have a different schedule (MBA PLUS two research methodology courses, two 'advanced theory' courses, eight dissertation courses). The mode of delivery will stay the same at this stage. We can only select a small number of DBA students for S2 2003. We will not be switching DBA students from the previous program structure to the new program structure.

    Regards,
