Thank you for posting this Drew~~~

This is very, very good news!

I have thought that St. Andrews would perhaps be my favorite choice for PhD work. I have been searching for precisely this same course in theology for quite some time.

    Chris,

I too would love to go to one of Scotlands universities for Ph.D. work. St. Andrews, Edinburg, Glasgow, or HTC. BUT I find myself in two dilemas.

    1) I don't have a bachelors yet. :D So I have to learn to walk before I begin to dance. ;)

    2) I don't believe that God will allow me to do Ph.D. work any time soon. (meaning when i get done with seminary work)

I have been called into the ministry and my goals and desires center around that. I will hopefully get a D.Min someday, although alot of people don't consider that a "real doctorate" Hopefully I can finish my bachelors and start Southern Seminary in 2004. Hey, a brother can dream can't he?....LOL.

    For His Glory,

    Hey Steven,

Of course, if one is looking for utility, one should not look at St. Andrews.

However, if you are looking for a degree that will be a competitive one given the current theological landscape in American Evangelicalism, I can't think of a better alma mater than St. Andrews.

The fact that they offer DL in the theo. dept. is like Harvard or Yale allowing it. It's huge.
