Hi, Just found out that the tuition is about double what I was quoted, so I think I may enroll at UniSA instead. Just wanted to inform everyone so that they don' t get their hopes up as I did! Will continue my search for the 'right' Masters program. Starting over, but looking at UniSA, Middlesex, Portsmouth.
It seems that some of the Aussie schools have more taught masters than do the African schools. Just a thought.
I am sorry Howard, by saying UniSA, I meant University of South Australia, not the one in S. Africa. I am still looking at others, but I really liked this program and except for the price, it met all of my needs. Just have to bite the bullet, I suppose.
Here's the latest..... Just got an email from Registry. It seems that there as a serious miscommunication on their end coupled with a new hire not knowing the in's and out's of the dl program. The bottom line is that the original quote re: tuition is correct and I will start their program after all! Needless to say, this pleases me greatly. I really did not want to start the search again.
Yes, it is very nice! Also, as a result, they are now expediting all of my paperwork; something I have been awaiting for weeks!! Man, I just can't wait to get started!
How long will it take to complete the program? How many courses can you take per semester? What information did they give you? I received an email from them stating that one can take only 1 module per semester. At this rate, it'll take me 4-5 years to complete the required 8 courses + thesis, right?
I have yet to pay for a module so I don't know about the 1 module max. thing. In a recent email to Registry, I informed them of my wish to start with two modules and in the reply email (which mainly concerned unrelated items) there was no mention of this stipulation. I will let you know if or when I hear about this.
Focussed persistence Hi John I intended to send my congratulations to you for getting started at QMUC but I got waylaid. It really is an example of focussed persistence paying off. Hope everything runs smoothly from now on.
Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I found exactly what I was searching for! Matriculation forms on the way. Hope to start the course in a couple of weeks now that the tuition is set.
