Senior University is now Stratford

Senior University, run from British Columbia but claiming its legitimacy from Wyoming, and from worthless accreditation, appears to be renamed Stratford International University. You still see "Senior University" tags as you loat the "Stratford" website (sui.edu), and Dr. Hassam is still the man in charge. Les Carr, proprietor of Columbia Commonwealth and Columbia Pacific had been a half owner. I've Emailed him to ask if he still is.

 

Are they still trying to re-locate to South Africa? Last I read on their site, probably a year ago, was that they were seeking legitimate South African accreditation for their programs.

Mmm, based on a look at their UK site at http://www.stratford.ac/Re.htm (or is it Ascension Island ), the claim of recognised South African accreditation doesn't look too promising.

For the record, Les Carr says that he gave away, not sold, his 50% interest "recently," presumably to Dr. Hassan.

Stratford certainly does give the appearance of a legit university from skimming their website. Unfortunately they do not expand too much on the programmes/programs. And so many of them??

Why would anyone want to complete such "rigorous" study if their qualification is not well received or recognised for that matter.

It would appear, by observation, that an alternative accredited course of study should therfore not be more difficult to obtain.

In summary, why then do an unrecognised course/programme/program?

Les Carr is still on Stratford International University's faculty list.

 

http://www.sui.edu, which was up at least during the period May 2002 to January 2003, is now down. http://www.sfiu.edu, for which I can find no historical evidence, is now up. EDUCAUSE asleep at the wheel again?

Les Carr is no longer on the faculty list.

 

Senior University may be gone, but it is certainly not forgotten; 13 faculty members of Stratford International University claim degrees from Senior.
