I have posted a few things before about getting a second degree. Found the program i like (MBA in hosp. management from www.qmuc.ac.uk) but the application papers were not send to me and they are going to start on monday, so my quest for a masters degree will continue. I am looking for a program that will start before the end of february and can be done online. Preferably in hospitality management with a strong financial/accounting direction. Other fields will be considered Can anybody help me?
Good Morning, Are you sure you can't print the application from the internet? If not, check Jack Traceys' postings for the last ten days. I know several programs have a February start date but may not be what you are looking for. Hille
The univeristy does not have thier forms on the net yet. Please post the links to the programs and i will take a look tnx
Hi rdl50 Let me throw an idea at you. Wouldn't it work out better to stop focusing on the start date and instead focus on making sure you find the program that is truly best for you? Originally you were concerned about getting started in December. Now it is January and you are concerned about Feburary. Seriously waiting 3 months, 6 months, heck even 9 months is no big deal IF you find the program that will be right and you will finish. I hope this is helpful and that everything works out. Best wishes in your path.
I have not gotten my papers either and I emailed the program coordinators for Hospitality and Golf & Club Management. They were quite surprised I have not gotten what I need to start, but assured me is was on it's way. Still haven't gotten it..... Probably will have to start at the next intake, but I agree with Dave, just wait it out, it's not that long and it took you months to find this program, so why keep looking? My program is the only one of it's kind in the world, so I am not going anywhere else unless something really breaks down! BTW, this gives me time to complete my required math course needed for the Excelsior BS degree!!
I am familiar with several South African degree programs and it seems that the first semester start date is typically in February. Aside from this I'd only want to say that I believe that Dave Hayden has given you some good advice. Jack
The reason wanted to start in January is because of the fact that I want to move to Asia in about 18 months. Having an MBA would have given me an edge to get a job. Probaly will have to do it the old fashioned way now, get a student loan and take a year off from work.
