Yep, it was in the mail again today. The $25.00 bill from Trinity(of Indiana) for their research access to First Search.

About six months after I had paid my Trinity debt in full, every bit of the fees and tuition, I started getting these additional bills. Understand I've not done any Trinity work since February of 2002. No prof or Dean or counselor has ever, ever inquired why I stopped working. No notes of encouragement. No pep talks. Just bills!!. just send money.

But in addition to the other item from Trinity today informing me that my current registration expires in January and that I could extend my time of completion for a mere $500, there was again this bill for the First Search which I never subscribed to in the first place as the resources are not as suitable as the disk of journals I have from TREN. So, again I won't pay this annual fee for First Search.

But I got to thinking, what a clever ploy this is of Trinity to raise revenue. 10,000 studentsX25 bucks each. That not a bad annual increase in income. It's almost as good as the extra $250 per head for the Liverpool "accreditation" we fools forked over . Makes one wonder about Trinity's priorities:

    (A) The student's heart or head...OR
    (B) The student's wallet or purse.

How did you expect Trinity to respond, Bill?

    1. Letters of encouragement?
    2. Personal call from prof/dean/counselor asking why you withdrew?
    3. Personal team of cheerleaders to travel to Oregon?

I mean seriously, do any RA schools do this kind of thing? And if you owed an RA school money, would they send you a bill for it, or just say "You owe us money, Mr. Grover, but since we are RA, don't worry about it?" ;)

You're right. My mistake for thinking along the lines of NT principles re encouraging each other and the proper place of money.
