Regarding the new database

    I thought that I'd check out the new database and then discovered that personal information had to be disclosed in order to gain access. OK, so I disclosed my information. I did so because I've been around long enough to trust the people involved. I was promised that the information would not be shared with yadda, yadda, yadda. What I want to know is not how the information is NOT going to be used. What I want to know is how the information IS going to be used. Who/where/what etc. etc. I believe that degreeinfo, if it is going to solicit this kind of information, should say EXPLICITLY how the information will be used. Saying how it will NOT be used is inadequate.

    I wondered if the data would be used for some sort of statistically significant data. :D
