The University of Sunderland, England, accepts holders of the Advanced Diploma of the Association of Business Executives (ABE) into the final year of its Bachelor of Businesss Studies Honours course. Sunderland students can study either by residential or distance education.

Bernard, previously back on October you had brought to the thread and discussed the ABE and its acceptance or credits into several degree programs.

Sunderland which used to be a Technical College is also recognised to issue degrees through other universities such as Leeds.

Would you mind letting us know based on your current information what the time and cost was to get the Advanced Diploma from the ABE, then the time and cost to finish off the BBS (Hon) at Sunderland including the application and processing through Sunderland for the ABE graduate Diploma holders?

Was there an official release from Sunderland and or the ABE to the fact regarding the transferability agreement?

Based on the UK system, would it not be simpler to follow the HND business studies or the NEBBS, the DMS or the NVQ3-4 rather than the ABE, that is if the route to a degree via ABE is for practising professionals rather than those junior starters?..comments from you please on this point.

BTW, you had asked back in October about setting up a DL school..are you still on track, and are you in anyway associated or affiliated with the ABE?

I have long been interested in looking out for inexpensive ways to earn recognised degrees.

In the past I worked with Archbishop Tutu, the Revolutionary Women of Afghanistan and exiled South African and Lesotho movements to make refugee universities. I also help exiled Burmese groups but right now I teach high school History and Japanese.

As I said earlier, a student would pay £772 for all materials, registration and exam fees for the 18 subjects of Certificate, Diploma 1, Diploma 2 and Advanced Diploma of ABE.

If you have questions, please approach ABE and the University of Sunderland directly. I have no connection with either. I do however phone ABE frequently asking about their promised approach to US based Foreign Credential Evaluation services. No news yet.

    question:
does U of Sunderland have distance learning possibilities, or would you have to spend a whole year over there in the middle of nowhere england? ;)

(*sorry* just kidding. a friend of mine graduated from U of Sunderland and gained access to a German Master´s program as only 1 of 12 people! - so the Sunderland degree certainly was a gain for him)

    greets,
