    Hey guys,

I have been on the thread before about NCU, but I have to tell you, The course work compared to tradtional schools is way to much. Since I have enrolled after working out payment options,
I received my first course and every week there is an assignment due. Unlike traditional colleges an assignment is due may be two weeks or one month; even one reasearch project all term. I didn'g know DL would be so demanding. I really don't know how I feel right now. Obtainig a Phd has been a dream for me. I choosed DL due to work. To tell you the true may be a traditonal
school would have been a better choice. I tried two school both
well known schools with great rups but didn't get in. I really like
NCU's format but now I am wondering how would I get through this course. Any advise to help with the anxiety?

Hi, alpha. What level of traditional courses are you using for comparison? I would expect that any doctoral level courses should require quite a bit of work, no matter the format. I know that I'm doing at least 2-3 times as much reading for most of my master's level courses than I did for any undergraduate courses (other than maybe a couple of literature courses). Try to stick with it and see if you can adjust to the workload. Even if the DL format does require some extra work, I'd rather spend my time learning than wasting it on the things that go along with a traditional classroom format (commuting, looking for a parking space, etc.).
