I was wondering if my passing Clep scores from the exams I had taken prior to the computer based exams would still be accepted at say Excelsior or TESC. I had passed the ACE recommended scores on these exams but not all were 50 or above as is currently required of the computer based exams. I would sure hate to have to take these all over again. Deb,

I'm sorry, but I think you will find that you will need a retake on anything that is below 50 on the pre-computer based tests.

I have been taking all paper and pencil CLEP and DANTES because I have been taking the exams at a military post. I called Charter Oak State College and was told that they accept the paper and pencil score for paper and pencil exams and computer scores for computer exams.

I would say that you have nothing to worry about BUT check with the schools.

I would second Randell1234's remark. Older scores are evaluted according to the year they were taken and are not held to the new standards.
