    OK EVERYONE!

I NEED A LIST - I HAVE POSTED MY FINAL LIST BUT MANY PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"GO TO A PUBLIC OR TRADITIONAL"
    "THERE ARE BETTER SCHOOL"
    "TRY STILL SCHOOL"
    "IT IS UP TO YOU"
    ETC

I NEED SOME HELP - IT MIGHT SEEM LIKE I'M TRYING TO GET A EASY EDUCATION BUT I AM NOT:

I JUST DONT WANT TO TAKE THE GMAT - I FEEL IT DOESNT HAVE ANY BAREING ON HOW WELL I DO IN THE PROGRAM AND SOMETIMES I'M NOT A GOOD TEST TAKER - BUT IF I HAVE TO . .. .. .. ..THEN I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START ASAP.

IF I TAKE THE GMAT - I WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO TAKE IT OVER FOR MY BEST SCORE PLUS THE MONEY IT COST TO TAKE THE TEST

I AM ONLY TRYING TO PAY FOR MY APPLICATION FEE AND THAT IS IT - I WANT LOANS AND SCHOLARSHIP TO TAKE CARE OF MY EDUCATION.

SO - TO COMMENT TO EVERYONE'S ADVICE -
    I NEED A LIST OF:

RA ACCREDITED, NO GMAT REQUIRED, 100% SOLID ONLINE MBA PROGRAM, PUBLIC-TRADITIONAL SCHOOL, IF NATIONAL ACCREDITED (GOOD), IF MARKETING CONCERNTRATION (GOOD), IF EAST COAST (GOOD)

IF YOU KNOW ANY THING BETTER THAN WHAT I'VE LISTED

SOOO..... LET ME KNOW - SO I CAN PICK THE BEST OF MY OPTIONS

AND YES I HAVE CHECK JONATHAN'S MBA LIST SEVERAL TIMES.

PLEASE HELP - I WANT TO BE IN SCHOOL NO LATER THAN MARCH 2003.

PS. I KNOW ABOUT REGIS U & UPPER LOWA UNIV

    THANKX
    FELICIA

There are likely hundreds of schools that fit the criteria you have outlined. You really need to search older posts here and go over Jonathon Liu's website with a fine tooth comb. How about eliminating the question of the GMAT for now and just pick which MBA programs you like the best. Good luck and be sure to report back after doing some serious homework.

Felicia, I really think you're worrying too much about the GMAT. I really didn't want to take the GRE to get into graduate school, but I decided early in my search that I would go for the most well-regarded school in my field (Criminal Justice) that I could afford, and that would fit my schedule.

The school I decided on (UMass-Lowell) requires the GRE, so I just sucked it up and took the test. I didn't enjoy it, and I certainly didn't set any records, but I did well enough (with ZERO preparation or study) to get accepted.

If I ever find an doctoral program that suits my needs and requires the GRE, I'll probably take a KAPTEST prep course and retake the exam for a better score. Until then, I'm not going to worry about it.

My advice would be to take the GMAT and not have the scores reported to anyone except you. Then you can decide later to have the scores sent to schools on your list if you did well. If you don't do so hot, take a prep course and retake the test, or go with schools that don't require the GMAT.

In most cases of people looking for an undergrad program, I'll agree with Steve Levicoff and say "just get the damn (RA) degree", but for a graduate degree, I think you should go for the best school available for your situation.

Did you know that if you take the GMAT twice, that they average the two scores. When I took it a second time and did so well, I was very disappointed to know that they took an average, but got accepted anyway.

This is not entirely accurate; the Educational Testing Service does not average test scores. ETS reports the scores from the latest test date and the two most recent test dates within the last five years. It is up to each individual school to determine how they will evaluate multiple test scores. Upon request, ETS will release GMAT scores that are up to 20 years old, however many schools will not accept GMAT scores that are more than five years old. Moreover, if you have taken the test more than three times within the last five years, you may not request scores from any earlier test date.

You do, however, bring up a few important points concerning what to do if you are not happy with your performance the first time you take the test. ETS makes it possible to cancel your score immediately after you complete the test. However, this must be done before your score is displayed or reported to you. In other words, you may cancel your test scores if you simply feel that you did poorly. Keep in mind, however, that cancelled scores cannot be reinstated, a score cancellation notice will be sent to the schools you selected as score recipients, and the score cancellation will remain a part of your permanent record. As such, the score cancellation will be reported on all future score reports.

If you choose to retake the test, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, it is important to determine how the schools to which the test scores will be reported address multiple test scores. Some (as it appears was the approach taken in your case) average the test scores; others accept only the most recent score. Most, however, simply consider the highest score. The second thing to consider in retaking the exam is whether you will significantly improve your score (some do worse the second time, and the average improvement among those who do improve is only about 30 points). This requires examining why you did not do your best the first time and how you will better prepare or what different strategies you will employ for the retaking of the test.

Your continuing to post information already asked in another thread?

You had already narrowed it down to the 'Favorite Four', but sinced you asked again.. AIU, Nova or Keller?the favorite three.

Cost, location and the school/program that fits your needs.

The comment about GMAT, do you or do you not want to take it, and if you do, what do you expect?

Good luck again...final decision that is.

    Felicia,

Since you've asked for help (multiple times), it might help the folks trying to help you if were to enlighten them by providing a little more information about your background (educational and otherwise) and how you intend to utilize the degree.
