I believe there are a few people on here that have taken the College Algebra CLEP. The study guide mentions an online calculator for it. How is the calculator? Is it strictly for add/sub/mult/division? Or, does it have scientific functions (such as the factorial key "!")? Best Regards, Bill
No, however, www.calculator.com is a pretty cool website (thanks). Here's the situation. I know a majority of the material in college algebra, however, I am slow. If I waste my time trying to do arithmitic I will FAIL. I know CLEP offers the online calculator during the test, however, I do NOT know if it is a simple calculator (+, -, X, / ) or a scientific calculator. I do not want to waste my time figuring out what 10! [factorial] is (it would take forever). BR, Bill
CLEP info says it is a "scientific" calculator. But why don't you email them, asking what functions or operations are included under this vague rubric? --Orson
