"Manassas, Va. – A former mujahadeen commander, political adviser and author of The Rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan, has joined the American Military University faculty. Neamatollah Nojumi will begin teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on Afghanistan in December. Titled Afghanistan Country Analysis, the courses will focus on the military and political challenges Afghanistan faces in the post-Taliban era.

“Afghanistan’s situation is complex, and if we are to deal successfully with it today, we need to know how we got there,” said Nojumi. “AMU's distance learning method gives students all over the world access to subject matter experts they might not otherwise have -- that's why I joined the faculty of this forward-thinking university.”"
