A short while ago, I asked about RA - online MBA programs by non-internet schools, meaning schools have a brick and mortar presence.

For many MBA programs, the standard admission requirement is a GMAT score. Can someone tell me if there are any online MBA programs (from non internet schools. Let's consider Univ of Phoenix an online school for this listing) that don't require a GMAT score? Meaning that they have a requirement something like--high GPA on bachelor's degree, 5 or more years of working experience and etc.

    Thanks.

    Littleyoda,
Try Morehead state university, Webster University for starters.
Dont worry so much abut the Gmat thing, many schools employ
a " index score" and look for 1000 base points; it goes something
    like this:
    Your GPA (for example) 3.79 x 2 x 100= 758 pts.+ gmat score

let's face it out there folks, there are some good MBA schools and some average MBA schools but one thing is for certain, they are becoming like gas stations-one on almost every corner competing for our money. Unless you are aiming very high for a big Ivey League school don't sweat the Gmat so much; by not taking it you only limit your options.
Go ahead and take the test, and apply everywhere your heart desires-you might be surprised by all the acceptance leters that hit the mail box. You may even see one from the " likes" of a Duke Fuqua but that requires a very thick wallet!
    Best,
    Gavin

I totally agree. Take a practice test and see how you do, you may be surprised.

    No GMAT

If you would rather not bother with the GMAT, Indiana Wesleyan University does not require it, and they have an RA all DL MBA program.

Baker College is a brick/mortar school in Michigan that has an online MBA that requires no GMAT and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Check them out at http://www.baker.edu.

    Hi:
Thanks so much for all your encouragement. I get very nervous about tests. It's not that I don't do well or etc. It's just a case of nerves.

    Thanks again.

I have major test anxiety, but I find the more I take, the easier it gets. To give you an idea of how bad it is, my first MBA accounting class had a mid-term. I studied like heck, and when the test came, I froze. Some people got up, turned in a blank test. Why didn't I do that? I was so scared, I couldn't move my legs. I was literally frozen in place. After 10-15 minutes I realized I had no choice but do the test, because I looked foolish just sitting there. I refused to look at my test grade for 2 weeks after he returned it. Turns out I go an A-. In short, the fear is generally worse than the test.

In the last year, I've taken my doctoral comps, the California CBEST, Series 7, Series 66, and the CA. Insurance exam. I was terrified each time, and yet did quite well on each of them.

I took the GMAT (I have a blurb on it on my web site- just go there, click on the link on the first picture or the one associated with the words "did it" and then find the San Jose State link. The first part of the page discusses the GMAT.

Don't let the GMAT be an issue. I took it (prepared- then the night before went out for a few beers and a nice dinner). One of my classmates was deathly ill that day and still received a high enough score to be accepted at SJSU. You might just as well flex the test taking muscle, because you will have tests in your MBA program.

To quote a certain domestic diva, "you can do this."

    Good luck!
