I dont see why not. I guess as free electives (maybe even that anatomy and physiology would be a natural science credit? I don't know). Just like the SMART transcript (Marine and Sailors), the AARTS shows recommend credit for military basic training, A schools (your AIS school), C schools, MOS credit (your skill level may need to be verified to get this credit), and any other coursework/tests that were evaluated by ACE during your enlistment.

    Best Regards,

I went to basic as well and have enrolled at Excelsior. Upon initial evaluation (unofficial) I was given 1 credit for first aid-nothing else. In their defense, I am in the BS/Liberal Studies program and their are no electives in the program so your mileage may vary.

Forgot to mention; they did give me credit for my MOS that directly corresponded to the AARTS recommendation.

This may be because Excelsior does not except physical wellness credits..

So, JustSurfing, they may not take any of your boot camp credits (except first aid I would guess).

That would also be consistent with my COSC experience, one credit for first aid (and nothing else) from basic training . Perhaps you would find the same standard at each of the Big Three.

On a related note, it's hard to imagine getting more "face time" with a college professor than I got with my drill sergeants. ;)

No doubt. I kind of wish college was like boot camp. Maybe I would of done a little better.. If I am failing a course, don't just shake your head and tell me I am failing. Jump on my desk and scream in my face! Threaten to "destroy" me and I'll probably improve dramitically in that class! :D

I would fill your free elective area with FEMA EMI credits. (ALSO) Consider taking the RED CROSS CPR course for a 2 credit portfolio. This portfolio was evaluated very quickly. Good Luck with your studies. Hille
