DL MBA at Liverpool (UK)

An online MBA with the University of Liverpool (UK), (NOTE; no .edu or .ac) can be seen at (www.Kitcampus.com). It spite of postings by the Brit members about recognition and accreditation of universities over there, my concern is that the Liverpool DL MBA is not accredited by AMBA, and from one of the world class universities..how is this possible?.

One reason I suspect for this is that the MBA has only just started. Liverpool University though is part of the Russell group of Universities and is prestigious.

Are the universities in the UK like this offering programs just to get that international student influx, $$$ that is. Copying the USA once again, is not being creative.

Any comments from our members that have expertise in the UK on MBA programs like this?

one reason could be that an AMBA accreditation for british university programs in management sciences is FAR LESS important than an AACSB accreditation for american universities since the british have their "royal charter", which by itself is an evaluation procedure at highest level (far above US regional accreditation).
so why should the liverpool guys spend money for a sole "marketing thing" (and that´s what AMBA mainly is) if they can get their (in my opinion rather expensive) programs full without it?

I applied for the online MBA at liverpool and while talking to the admission advisor asked him about the AMBA accreditation. He said that to be a member of AMBA you will need graduates and liverpool is only expecting its first online graduates this december. I understand that the campus MBA is also new. He said that they are planning to apply for AMBA accreditation in the future.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've also read in previous posts that to be AMBA do not accredit online/DL degrees. But if you look at their website, there are other universities with DL MBA programs that are accredited. Those DL MBAs require a minimum face to face seminars.
