A friend of mine is a tenure-track teacher of composition and writing at a California community college. While not required. a doctorate would increase her chances of tenure slightly and would lead to greater salary (salary is actually based upon highest degree earned!)

I would appreciate suggestions as to from where she might earn a dl doctorate. Must be accredited or Generally Accepted Accredition Standards for foreign universities. It would be nice if it were actually related to writing, rhetoric, or compostion. Low cost a consideration.

    Thanks in advance.

Is it a GAAP doc or a GAAS doc she wishes? A Unisa D.Litt et Phil in English can be done by thesis only at a cost of around $3000.

    I'd get Bear's Guide.

    'Jumping through hoops?"

    Bill,

I read in another thread where someone said UNISA required a person to "jump through hoops." Do you know what was meant by this.

It may reference the difficulty some have had gaining entrance. The process when I was considering it looked more complex than Unizul.
