    Any thoughts on the University of Phoenix online MBA/ACC degree? How are classes structured? Is admin responsive in addressing questions? If you have been through the program, would you recommend it? How is the degree viewed in the marketplace?

    Thanks for your comments.

    It's a 6 week per course program, you have to work with a study group which spends 10-20 hours out side of class. UOP's MBA program is a non competitive school @ the bottom tier. The schools administration rates poorly, it feels like a car dealership ----sell, sell, sell.......

    I would only consider UOP if;

    1. I could not maintain a regular schedule
    2. I had a strong foundation in acc. and just wanted a (RA) MBA
    3. I could be my employer to pay for it all
    4. And I would not feel bad about hanging my degree on my
    office wall, maybe behind the door?

    The on-line program requires more work, but if you are wanting to build your acc. skills, it's not a fit - you'll get angry, and them comes the poor administration support.

    Look at your peers, ask them for a good program ?????.

    I'm not busting UOP, I've got a MAOM from them, it's in a box @ home

    Another institution to look at is Nova Southeastern. Go to www.sbe.nova.edu. They have a DL masters in accounting. I did graduate from the DBA program - but have no direct experience with the accoutning program. I am, however, seriously considering taking some accounting courses, however, to give me another area to teach in.

    Regards - Andy
