Looking for an accredited Theologicla DL program

I am beginning to research DL programs at Theological Schools fora DMin. degree. I am finding the entire accredited / non-accredited discussion and problem to be confusing and frustrating.

I am not presently able to travel great distances for seminars, etc due to a family member's health issues.

Can anyone assist me in pointing out accredited DL DMin. programs that I might consider.

Due to your travel limitations, are you unable to attend ANY intensives? That is, are you limited in general, but still able to travel for, say, two or three weeks out of the year? I think how you answer this question will determine a great deal about your options.

I would recommend getting a copy of Walston's Guide to Earning Religious Degrees Non-Traditionally, available through Rick's website or through Amazon.

Rick is a lot more accepting of unaccredited schools than I, but his chapter on accredited schools lists many, many, D.Min. programs that can be completed by DL methods.

Bill gave some good solid advice. I would absolutely stick with accredited. I am obviously biased in favor of ACCS but there are many options out there that combine seminars and DL. Many are very affordable. Another program that does have a couple of short seminars is Luther Rice Seminary (has some famous alumni). ACCS is 100% DL. As Bill mentions if you want to teach your best bet is RA. Also, as Bill says check with your denomination.

I observe a prof at ACCS has, as you, the MDiv from Candler -- also DMin , Fuller--(Gene Nease). Why not give him a call?
