Hi, does anyone know if DANTES Business Math will be accepted for a BS in Liberal Studies degree at Excelsior? They refuse to answer my question until I enroll and I don't want to enroll until I take the English Comp exam. Should I fail the exam, I will then enroll at COSC or TESC. I am taking this route because I understand the test is very difficult and if I fail, I will have to wait six months to retest.
As an aside, they have been very uncooperative with my questions, but I really want a BS degree without taking all the business exams. So, I am stuck with them. Thanks again.

Forget it, I found out that business math is not considered math, but rather it is an applied professional course. thanks

Check out "A Student Guide to Credit by Exam" on the Excelsior web site. There are other several exams that could fit your needs for both English and Math if you fail whatever English Comp exam you are considering. If you let us know what exam you are going to take -- I am sure you will get some helpful suggestions.

Incidently my experience with Excelsior/Regents was very good and my BS degree has never been questioned by any employer or graduate school.

If you are considering the portfolio route to obtaining math credit then consider the following:
COSC does not provide credit by portfolio in several areas including:
    (a) English composition
    (b) Subjects in which standardized exams are abvailable

    TESC may have similar restrictions.
