    Hi Hille:

You may want to look at Emporia State University's Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement. According to Emporia, "individuals who do not have a teaching certificate may use the endorsement to obtain initial certification in Early Childhood Special Education."

    http://www.emporia.edu/lifelong/certific.htm

    Tuition
    $132 per graduate credit hour

    Internet Fee
    $45 per course

Twelve graduate hours will cost you about $1,764. This is an endorsement and not a graduate certificate program. However, you can use its credits as a concentration if you ever want to complete Emporia's master degree in early childhood special education. You may also apply these graduate credits to the Excelsior College’s Master of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies Program.

You may also want to look at the following schools.

    Liberty University
    Brenau University
    Prescott College
    Pacific Oaks College

Go to a search engine (yahoo) and type in Distance Graduate Schools and you will get a link for something like Distance.grad....Anyway it is a link to a site where you can choose Special Education and it will list all the schools that offer distance learning options for that field. Be careful though, some of the schools are not RA. Hope this helps!!
