Hi there ! Anyone know of the existence of a PhD in acoustics ? ´ I've only found out a Master DL version. Thanks in advance Andre
Acoustics is not even close to being an area of expertise for me but I'm guessing that you'd want to find a doctoral program in physics and then try to specialize in some area of acoustics. I'd be surprised if you could find a school that awarded PhD's in acoustics but there are a few that award PhD's in physics: Central Queensland University University of Kent at Canterbury University of Melbourne UNISA University of Technology, Sydney University of Wales, Aberystwyth You could also check out Union Institute and University (did I get that right?) as people at that school are able to essentially design their own doctoral degree programs. As a final comment, you may have some substantial difficulty in getting most of these schools to agree to a 100% non-residential program of research/study. Make sure you nail that down as I've gotten the idea that airfares may get a lot more expensive in the future. Good luck, Jack
