    In an article in New York Press, a New York weekly newspaper, William Bryk discusses the random thoughts of Dr. John Bear. http://www.nypress.com . This is a must read. The article includes things that Dr. Bear did before he published the first edition of Bear's Guide. It also discusses Dr. Bear's views on non-traditional education, credentialing, honorary degrees, and degree mills.

    Incidentally, my phone at work rang the other day and the caller ID dsiplayed "John Bear"!! So I eagerly answered. Only to find that we have our own John Bear in the tech support group.

    Do some research on "your" John Bear. Would it not be ironic if the guy had a degree mill credential? <grin>
